Should you take CBD For PMS and Period Symptoms?
So ladies, let’s have a conversation about our periods. I know, I know, it’s not a fun conversation, but it’s the one we really need to have. For some of you lucky few ladies, your periods come and go with little drama or fan fare. It’s a moderate disruption in your month, but still, it comes and goes. For ladies like myself, it’s a life ruiner! Mind numbingly painful cramps, mood swings, bloating, cravings, oh and did I mention mood swings and cramps? After an exceptionally painful monthly experience I decided I needed to look for a better way to manage my cycle and take control of the situation.
So what were my options for taking control of my period? I wanted something natural that could help with the symptoms of PMS, but wouldn’t impact my capacity to get things done. I needed more than heating pads and warm baths, but didn’t want prescription pain pills. I began researching and stumbled upon an article referencing CBD oil uses. I knew that CBD oil was a tremendous sleep aid, but also discovered CBD for PMS can help with symptoms too!

Studies indicate that pure CBD oil can help to relieve inflammation, anxiety, and chronic pain which are very similar to issues that arise when “Aunt Flo” comes to town. I opted to try both the CBD oil drops and the CBD gummies to see if they could help with my most severe symptoms. I chose the CBD gummies for convenience when out in public. It’s easier to pop in a gummy while at the office or sitting in traffic than trying to administer drops under your tongue.
What I noticed is that for me the CBD didn’t work immediately, so it is not an instant symptom reliever. I took two 25mg CBD gummies before I noticed that my cramping slowly subsided to manageable levels and my overall mood was better.
